Position Description:
This engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that are part of Broadcom's Bluetooth software offering. Customers use this software to develop wireless embedded applications and products such as Bluetooth enabled mobile phones, headsets and printers.
Qualifications:
Responsible for design, development, integration, testing and documentation of Bluetooth Embedded Protocol Stack. Experience developing embedded or real-time systems, or experience developing applications utilizing wireless protocol software (Bluetooth, CDMA, GSM, or 802.11) is required. Experience with embedded device driver development and knowledge of interfaces such as USB, SDIO, UART is also strongly desired. Candidate must be excellent in C/C++, RTOS, multi-threaded, embedded concepts. Familiarity using Visual Studio, ClearCase is desirable.
The candidate should be highly-motivated, a self-started and a team player. Must have experience working in a software engineering environment that includes configuration management, peer reviews, and related processes. Strong communications and organizational skill and the ability to multitask across various disciplines and tasks are must.
This position requires a BS in computer science or equivalent with 6 years of relevant work experience or an MS in computer science with 4 years of relevant work experience.
