Duties:

.Responsible for analyzing, planning, design and engineering of multi vendor switching platform infrastructure.
.Manage engineering projects to support growth and performance requirements of a wireless communications network.
.Plan network changes including development of engineering design packages, software files, network drawings and methods of procedure for capital projects.
.Develop and maintain Granite Xng/Xpercom inventory database with hardware, current circuit and equipment port assignments.
.Support corporate initiatives for engineering and technology growth. Ensure adherence to network engineering standards and service margin for switching network elements
.Maintain high performance level under varying degrees of pressure and uncertainty.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:

.BSEE degree preferred Computer Science degree considered along with five or more years experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry.
.Hardware knowledge and experience of LUCENT 5E and Nortel MTX infrastructure, Lucent Voicemail, Digital Cross Connect and Echo Cancellation products.
.Thorough understanding of telecommunications industry standards, functions and platforms such as; T-1, DS-3, SONET, Microwave, Multiplexer and Transport equipment, PSTN Trunking and SS7.

Professional / Technical skills:

.Excellent technical (e.g., systems design) and/or analytical skills
.PC and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, email, etc.)
.Working knowledge of project management concepts
.Strong Decision-making and leadership abilities
.The ability to have a Positive 'Can Do' attitude. Excellent interpersonal skills are mandatory.
.Must be a team player.
.Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities
.Communication Skills - Communicates verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner. Applies appropriate grammar and listens attentively. Presents ideas in a logical, compelling manner in both small and large group settings.
