Engineering Analyst

Eastman Kodak is seeking an Engineering Analyst to join our Health Group in Oakdale, Minnesota.

 

Job Purpose:
Provide finite element and other analytical support to mechanical design engineers.




Job Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for supporting design engineers with higher level analytical engineering skills. These skills will include closed form solutions, finite element analysis, experimental methods, and cross correlation of predictive analysis and test data. The tasks will be split approximately 75% thermal and 25% structural. Approximately 80% of the time will be FEA, the remaining will be experimental in nature. These results must be delivered in an appropriate time frame to keep projects on schedule.





Required Skills:
Masters degree and 5+ years directly related experience
Formal Training in Finite Element Analysis
Experience with ANSYS finite element code including the Multi-Physics package
A minimum of 3 years experience in finite element analysis, including: computational fluids dynamics, transient thermal analysis, contact problems and structural analysis
Experience with thermal transducers
The candidate must be skilled at querying engineers to get to the true need of the design engineer
Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to do presentation to design teams
Must be a good team player


 

Additional Desired Qualifications:
Design of Experiments and Statistical Analysis
Experience with accelerometers.
Understanding of instrument calibration, precision and repeatability.
