Engineering Change/Request/Order Technician (1172)

Provides CAD and drafting services for the division to support existing and new product development. Communicates with internal and external customers to provide engineering documentation for special order sink modifications and to implement engineering change requests (ECR?s) to improve product features, quality, and cost. Investigates and implements continuous improvement activities on the ECR/ECN and engineering ERP systems to meet growing business requirements

 

 

Required Skills:

 

Must be capable of performing tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Bachelor?s of Science degree in manufacturing technology or mechanical engineering or an Associates degree in engineering with CAD experience is required.
Second language capability in Spanish or Mandarin is a plus.

 

 

Experience Required:

 

This position requires a demonstrated success in working in a fast-paced and dynamic multi-project environment. Advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. A history of demonstrated and structured problem solving capability must exist.


This position requires 2D/3D CAD modeling experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD package along with standard office and engineering tools such as MS Excel, Word, Access, and PDM Works.
A background in manufacturing sheet metal using stainless steel is desirable.
