Engineering Manager - Automotive

Job Description: Our client is seeking a results oriented Engineering Manager.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation of strategies and policies regarding new business.  These include program management, tooling, and drawings.  He or she will also supervise engineering employees within the facility.

 

Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to, the following
Establish department goals to support production and plant initiatives
Provide operating guidelines and policies
Interface with the following on new programs
Sales
Quoting
Engineering
Customers
Establish budgets and training
Oversee program management of on-time product launch
Oversee CAD and drawing control
Provide continuous improvement support
Support QS9000

 

Requirements:
5 years experience in engineering
2 years working background in an engineering related, technical field
Knowledge of compression mold design and secondary equipment design

 

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field

 

Rate of Pay:

$60,000 to $75,000 Yearly

 

Hours:

1st Shift

 

Type of Employment:

Permanent, Full-Time

 

Location:

Commutable within the region of Fort Wayne, Indiana
