On behalf of our client, we are looking for a mature, talented and experienced ENGINEERING MANAGER that, capable and willing to work independent of direct supervision, will serve as an Impact Player for our client?s team.  The ideal candidate MUST be capable of effectively leading teams and/or departments through strong, demonstrated leadership characteristics. As our client?s ENGINEERING MANAGER, you will also be responsible for the following:

?  Management of plant engineering and maintenance resources in areas of safety, quality, and cost reduction portfolio in an effort to achieve maximum efficiency in obtaining plant goals, including capital improvement project goals;

?  Plan and direct plant engineering programs and activities to design, modify, or improve equipment and/or processes;

?  Utilize continuous improvement strategies in areas related to products, processes, and equipment;

?  Coordinate plant engineering programs to incorporate new product development and technology;

?  Ensure alignment of engineering programs to plant performance and business goals;

?  Develop and initiate strong relationships with corporate subsidiaries to address and promote best practices;

?  Evaluate potential projects and conduct project feasibility analysis;

?  Comply with required legal regulations including OSHA and EPA;

?  Data/engineering oriented; and

?  Develop and implement cost reduction projects.Requirements

? Bachelors Degree in Technology or Engineering;

? Experience in manufacturing operations including production, engineering, and fiscal control;

? Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively influence the opinion of others and gain commitment to make changes;

? Excellent organizational skills;

? Builds and encourages strong relationships with peer and management and easily relates

? Ability to utilize personal mistakes as a learning tool, gain knowledge from the experiences, and move forward with confidence to grow beyond the mistakes;

? Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Flow Manufacturing or Demand Flow Manufacturing training or experience;

? Experience in environmental compliance with waste water, air permits, etc. for plant operation purposes; and

? A proven leadership style that fosters team-building.

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you must have the following:

?  Documented experience in selection, compensation, training, and promotion of department employees;

?  Experience in capital and expense investment to improve product cost, quality, capacity, upgrade the facility, and/or comply with state and federal regulations;

?  Experience in preparing and presenting technical data;

?  Encompass and employ a strategic view of the big picture approach as to how many facets of production fit together in the accomplishment of plant goals;

?  Comfortable in taking calculated risks in an effort to setting higher standards in meeting and exceeding production goals by pushing past existing, inefficient routines that may currently be status quo; and

?  Exhibit level of comfort with reporting relationships.  Preferred Experience

?  Experience in managing cost reduction portfolio; and

?  Ability to prepare and present presentations on cost/benefit analysis of projects, including the Internal Rate of Return.
