Engineering Manager (Project Management) with Manufacturer in the Healthcare Industry 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for driving New Product introduction program execution for a product. Develops the Integrated Program Plan and ensures that the necessary resources are applied and delivering to plan. Works with a large cross-functional team to ensure product manufacturability, serviceability, safety and quality. In addition, works with the functional engineering leadership team to grow functional and domain expertise within the team. Responsible for ensuring that the product development process abides to the business Engineering Quality Procedures, Phased Review Discipline and regulatory needs of the applicable markets. Works with the system, sub-system and service leadership team to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with the necessary features.

 

Requirements:

 5-7 years experience as an engineer within a manufacturing or development environment, including at least 3 years of direct project coordination. Motivated and skilled at planning, coordinating, executing and managing cross-functionally integrated plans. Manage the specification, progress and delivery of work of suppliers? subcontractors, development teams and sub-projects in accordance with program integrating processes and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with production, planning and technical personnel to ensure the successful launch of products. Ensure that effective design and change control structures are in place and utilized across the program. Success in building collaborative cross-functional relationships. Strong communicator with skills in negotiation, escalation and risk mitigation. Provide weekly updates regarding project progress. Ability to identify and champion process improvements and team work optimizations. Naturally proactive in taking initiative and promoting the use of new and innovative project management strategies.

 

Desired Skills:

 Demonstrated ability to drive P&L initiatives. Multi-generation technology planning experience. Cross-functional program(s) experience. Product life cycle management experience.
