Engineering Manager-Surgical Instruments
CITY: Lawrence STATE: Massachusetts COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
This position oversees the development of surgical instruments, Documentation and Engineering Change control groups. The candidate will have a dual role of program manager and functional manager for a team of 10 engineers and technicians. Working closely with the marketing team and the Engineering segment managers, the candidate will create a roadmap for the business. Externally focused the candidate will create strong ties with implant manufacturers and key strategic suppliers to continuously improve our process and accelerate our roadmap. The candidate will manage the department budget (2M$) including labor, material and plant and equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience managing Engineering Teams in a product development environment and a minimum of 3 years experience developing surgical instruments.

Advanced technical degree
Exerience managing engineering programs
Six Sigma Certification
General understanding of the clinical environment
Knowlede of Surgical implants
Demonstrated ability to energize team members and prodcut stakeholders
