Engineering Manager - Urethane - Golf Balls

This position is an engineering management position at our golf ball manufacturing facility located in Westminister, South Carolina with additional responsibilities across the whole golf ball supply chain.  As a leader of an engineering team this position is responsible for directing the technical capabilities of the team to support production. This includes budgeting, specifying equipment, preventive maintenance plans, development of new products and processes, and tooling design and purchase.




Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

 

Establish, monitor, and maintain yearly budgeting requirements for capital and expenses

Leader of engineering staff tasked to support the production within the golf ball plant

Leads technical projects for new golf ball products, manufacturing processes, requirements that are supply chain based.

Leader of the local safety teams.



 

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

 

Minimum of 8 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in golf manufacturing preferred.

Education ? BS Engineering with 5 years of technical management or 10-15 years of technical management

Additionally, a Master?s degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.

 
Knowledge and Skills Requirements

 

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be computer proficient with the use of MS Project, Excel, Access, as well as other maintenance related software

Needs to understand and have experience with SPC

Experience working with the following: DOE, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma

Must be able to work in a team environment

Needs to be a leader

Needs to be creative

Must have facilitator skills to help troubleshoot and resolve issues

Must have an expert level of knowledge of golf ball manufacturing processes

Needs excellent organizational skills
