Engineering Project Management - Various Engineering Positions

ITS Corporation provides superior engineering and information technology services and solutions to the federal government.

 

We are seeking highly motivated engineering candidates for the following disciplines:  mechanical, civil, electrical and architectural for our jobsites in San Diego, CA. 

 

All positions will provide project management and engineering services (cradle to grave project approach).

 

Duties for each position are:

 Mechanical Engineer

 

Shore facilities planning support and all incident logistic support.  Develop designs for new buildings, alterations and repair of federal buildings by complying with building and federal codes. Provide cost estimating for building systems.  Prepare scope of work and perform research, studies and surveys as well as assist with approval submittals from contractors. Prepare presentations, briefs and correspondence.  Participate on design team and provide expertise along with technical recommendations.

 Civil Engineer

 

Develop designs for new buildings as well as alterations and repair of existing buildings.  This would include parking & roadway pavement, storm drain and sewage system and renovations to include bridge, pier and quay wall applying knowledge of building and federal codes.  Prepare, document and provide scope of work including specifications defining client requirements.  Prepare quantity/cost estimate, engineering design and detail generation.  Assist in reviewing contractor bidding proposals and submittals.  Perform studies and surveys as well as participate on design teams.

 

Electrical Engineer

 

Electrical systems design in support of construction projects, field assessments, prepare government estimates, scope of work and fill internal funding documents.  This position will also review site approval requests, review contractor drawings, and perform electrical load calculations.

 

Architectural Engineer

 

Researches, plans, designs and administers building projects applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, building materials, building codes and regulations.  Consults with customer to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation.  Prepares design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs and construction time data. Plans layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design.  Prepares scale drawings and contract for contractors.  Conducts observations of work during construction to monitor compliance with specifications.  Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software.

 

This position requires a registered/licensed architect with AIA membership a plus.

 

Basic skills for these positions are:

 3-5 years of project engineering experience.BS degree in an engineering related field.Construction project management background as well as facilities experience.Planning and cost estimating experience MS Office Suite and AutoCAD experience is desirableProfessional Engineer (PE) Certification or Engineer In Training (EIT) certification is a plusUS Citizenship
