JOB DESCRIPTION:
Must have experience in mechanical packaging of electronic assemblies, in the areas of design, documentation, fabrication and materials. Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning using ANSI Y14.5. Must have experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD (Inventor), Pro Engineer, including 3D modeling applications. Requires good understanding of Design for Manufacturing principles.

The experience must also include electronic Printed Wiring Boards (PWB), Printed Wiring Assemblies (PWA) of complex designs. Must have experience with PWB/PWA IPC Standards (IPCA600, IPCA610, IPC2221 IPC6012, IPC8610). Must be familiar with IPC4101, Materials for Printed Wiring Boards.

Must have experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) (structural, Vibration, Shock and Thermal) for microelectronics and electronic systems and have a familiarity with various tool standards such as ProMechanica, and Ansys. Should have familiarity with materials and processes used in electronics systems.
Of above experience the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years direct engineering management experience or equivalent. Must have experience preparing Engineering bids/estimates for proposals, using Earned Value Measurement Systems, budget planning, preparing schedules and, staff resource planning.

Operates with limited supervision and functions as a section leader of an electronics Packaging/Mechanical engineering group. Provides technical and administrative leadership and oversight, assigns work and coordinates activities of personnel to projects. Develops schedules and budgets for all phases of assignments. Monitors cost, schedule and technical performance of the team. Has full technical and administrative responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. The candidate will maintain liaison with individuals and functions within and outside his organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to his field. Provides lead and direction in long range technical and administrative planning for the Mechanical Engineering group?s effort based on projected engineering state-of-the-art.REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a minimum of a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of twelve years of engineering experience.
