Job Overview:The role of the Engineering Supervisor is to provide the focus factory technical leadership and support focus factory management with respect to metrics and financial performance. The Engineering Supervisor position is required to demonstrate leadership and provide direction to other factory support functions including Engineering, Test, and Quality. The Focus Factory Manager provides direction to the Engineering Supervisor who is responsible to ensure processes are in place to support the production schedule and manages to factory metrics and financial performance. The Engineering Supervisor indirectly reports to the Site Engineering Manager who provides technical direction for production support and implementation of new technology requirements to support the focus factory. Job Responsibilities:Principle Accountabilities Manage a technical staff in manufacturing processes and techniques. Manages production capacity analysis capability and provides justification for capital expenditures to support customer technology and business requirements. Manage customer ECO cost definition and implementation Manage process and test yields Manage product routings Manages factory operations to implement metrics and lead continuous improvement activity to improve factory performance and profitability. Manage DFx activity supporting factory customers. Uses reports to manage production processes and supports continuous improvement activity. Lead analyzing, scheduling, and executing factory layout activity. Lead process qualifications and/or validations to support customer acceptance of new materials or processes. Leads technical support of customer transitions into the factory as well as overseeing new product introduction activity. Lead customer team from a technical perspective. Lead the identification and facilitation of technical training activity to support the factory processes and capabilities. Support compliance with focused factory data collection and product traceability requirements established by Quality Engineering. Support implementation and qualification of new manufacturing materials, processes, and technologies within the focused factory. Support process optimization and process control implementations within the focus factory to increase profitability and customer stratification. Support corporate standards and best practice implementation with in the focus factory. Support failure analysis based on CAR?s Supports customer audits. Job Qualifications:Education/Experience A Bachelor?s degree in Engineering or similar field or equivalent is highly desired. Individual typically has 5 - 8 years experience in an engineering role or equivalent; preferably two years in a supervisory or project leader role. The employee must successfully complete all internal training courses offered by the company necessary to do the job.
