Position: Engineering Support Technician

This person has to be hardworking, intelligent, enthusiastic, motivated, patient, a good communicator, and highly organized.  The ability to take complex tasks and break them down into manageable chunks is a must.

 

Job Functions:

 Engineering technical support- must be able to learn about our products and provide technical and applications-level support.  Support requests come in via web cases, emails, and telephone; this requires excellent written and spoken communications skills. Prototype testing, troubleshooting, and building ? must be able to run a test plan and accurately record results.  Also, the technician should be able to determine the point of failure of the device down to the discrete-component level.  Surface-mount soldering experience is a definite plus. Assist in customer product failure analysis ? Very often, our customers will have design problems prohibiting them from reaching mass-production.  We will assist them by analyzing their product and either correcting or suggesting corrections to their designs.  A successful candidate will be able to operate a customer device given basic instructions and gather relevant troubleshooting data with a minimum of guidance. Knowledge of RF principles, communications protocols, PCB design and schematic capture, embedded programming in C, and Windows programming are all pluses.

 

 

Education level:

Bachelors degree in electronics/engineering with 1-2 years industry experience or equivalent.

 

Salary:

Competitive alary will be based on experience.
