Reporting to:  Systems engineering manager

 

Job Duties: 

This position supports Parvus engineering staff with prototype PCB Assembly, cable assembly, system assembly, testing, and documentation work.  The engineering team develops custom, ruggedized computer systems, mainly for military or industrial environments.

 PCB Assembly soldering, including surface mount and fine-pitch. Hand PCB assembly.  Low quantity, high speed, high accuracy. Electromechanical assembly of computer systems and cabling. Building test fixtures and test platforms under direction of test engineer or design engineer Conducting functional and environmental testing of new designs. Assist with documentation such as assembly, test procedures and bills of materials

 

Technical Requirements: Excellent soldering skills are required At least a 2-year degree in electronics technology Excellent understanding of wiring diagrams and assembly drawings Capable of using standard electronic test equipment such as volt meters, oscilloscopes, etc.

 

Experience: 

 At least two years? experience in related field PCB layout experience desired, in Protel or OrCAD
