Engineering Technician 4

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Develop CAD drawings in 2D or 3D based on rough sketches, marked-up drawings and/or verbal instructions from system designers

Develop necessary electronic CAD plan views, sections and details with minimal supervision.

Continuously evaluates methods used to accomplish the CAD or other electronic tools and/or design activities as assigned.

Able to develop and prepare basic mechanical plumbing, HVAC, odor control, and fire protection system layouts.

Ensures that the deliverables and the tasks worked on are complete and meet Black & Veatch requirements.

Performs basic computations such as material quantity estimate, dimensional checks, etc, as assigned.

Possess good communications skills both written and oral.

The preferred candidate will possess:

Drafting Diploma or Certificate

Associate Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology (preferred)

Proficient in AutoDesk AutoCAD Version 2000 or later

Interest in HVAC and plumbing system design preferred.

Microstation experience is a plus
