POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Tax Director and is responsible for all of corporate tax department tax compliance (Federal, State, and Local) in a multi-state and global international environment and preparing all supporting calculations and work papers. This position is responsible for all state/local tax jurisdiction audits, preparation of tax estimated payments and extensions, maintaining/preparing reconciliations and needed adjustments to all tax accounts, maintain/develop/update tax compliance calendars, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and assisting with other tax projects as needed and requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage/Prepare all of the company's tax compliance responsibilities ensuring all returns, reports etc. are filed timely and accurately and supported with accurately prepared and detailed work papers. This includes Federal and State income, Sales/Use taxes, Property taxes, Annual Reports, Washington B and O and any Franchise tax returns. Coordinate all state/local tax jurisdiction audits. Assist with Federal audits. Prepare all state and local estimated payments at a level to avoid penalties and maximize cash flow. Maintain detailed schedules and records of payments made. Accurately and timely complete all assigned monthly reconciliations of tax accounts. Monitor internal control procedures in connection with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to ensure corporate tax department compliance. Work with internal Sarbanes personnel to ensure compliance and to supply requested documentation. Work with accounts receivable/collections personnel regarding sales tax issues with customers. Work with fixed asset accounting personnel in order to maintain detailed tax depreciation and property schedules. Update these quarterly. Work with corporate accounting/finance department on the monthly/quarterly/year-end close as well as on a regular basis regarding any issues that arise. Assist Tax Director with special projects and in other areas when requested. As needed and requested provide tax director with reports from the Oracle reporting system. Maintain foreign tax withholding certificates and schedules supporting foreign tax credit amounts.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform research as requested. Assist tax director with the preparation of any needed schedules and support. Assist with the maintenance of schedules supporting Washington and Federal R and D credits. Assist with Corporate insurance responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited University. A minimum of 3- 5 years of domestic tax compliance reporting in all compliance areas: Income Tax, Sales Tax, Property Tax, Multi-State income tax, Annual Reports/Franchise returns. Prior experience preparing tax account reconciliations. Combination of prior experience in a public accounting firm environment and industry, or 3-5 years experience in a multi-state company. Prior experience in working with tax jurisdiction auditors. Hands on experience with preparing estimated tax payments. Highly proficient with Excel Spreadsheets. Experience with tax preparation software such as Vantage tax, Go Systems or Insource Express.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Very knowledgeable with current domestic federal and multi-state tax laws and sales/use tax laws. Very knowledgeable with Washington B&O tax and property tax. An understanding of the dynamics of a global business and the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment. Ability to produce very timely, accurate and meticulous work products along with the flexibility to work extra hours, including weekends, when necessary. Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships with coworkers and external parties. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Exceptional ability in working with and developing excel spreadsheets. Familiarity with producing reporting data from general ledger systems. Preferably Oracle. Experience in supporting a senior tax level individual in a fast paced dynamic environment that demands flexibility. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently with the ability to complete assignments/projects accurately and timely. Strong documentation skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
Duties require the ability to utilize a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
Duties require periodically working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) especially at quarter end.
