Our client is a leading chemical company currently expanding its worldwide chemical operations.  They are an industry leader in many of their markets and have grown through acquisitions and grassroots expansion within the U.S.  Their greater Mobile, AL plant is seeking an Environmental Generalist to backfill the previous engineer who accepted a recent promotion to EHS Manager at another site within the company.

 

Principal accountabilities:

?  Assist the EHS Manager in implementation and control of the environmental compliance program.

?  Control and coordinate all air emissions testing including review and interpretation of testing and monitor results.

?  Control and coordinate all activities associated with compliance with the Hazardous Organic National Environmental Standards of Hazardous Air Pollutants (HON) regulations including the LDAR program, HON recordkeeping and reporting.

?  Responsible for maintaining and revising all required regulatory permits including air, wastewater, and storm water.

?  Accountable for regulatory reporting for air, water, and land compliance.

?  Oversee deposal of hazardous waste.

?  In charge of maintaining regulatory plans such as the BMP, SPCC, and hazard waste minimization plan.

?  Responsible for oversight of remediation projects and compliance reporting.

?  Assist in the development of written environmental program.

?  Assist Engineering in projects that affect environmental compliance.

?  Conduct environmental audits.

 

REQUIRMENTS:

? Bachelor of Science-Engineering (preferred)

? Three (3) + years experience with environmental permitting and compliance.

 

SALARY/BENEFITS:

?  Base salary range is 70-95k

?  Profit share of 0-20% profit share

?  Full relocation
