Environmental Project Manager

Requirements:

This position requires an individual with 10-15 years experience in working on and managing environmental projects. The types of projects relevant to this position are those for which envirnmental impact statements (EISs) and environmental assessments (EAs) have been prepared. Invidual would be expected to have project management experience with preparation of EISs for federal agencies (particularly DOD), state agencies (particularly DOTs), and the private sector (developers). Applicant should have a detailed knowledge of regulations and procedures related to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related state and local requirements such as the NYS Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and the NYC Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) program. It is expected that the candidate would have successfully completed one or more EISs pursuant to one of the above programs. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. It is Must have experience in both public presentations related to EIS projects and proposal presentations to prospective clients. Since it is expected that individual will lead project teams, good interpersonal skills are also necessary. Candidate must have a degree in engineering, planning or science with an advanced degree and professional certification preferred. In addition to managing projects it is likely that individual selected will also participate on project teams managed by others and provide analysis or other input in their area of technical expertise.
