Environmental Scientists / Engineers

H2M Associates, a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm in Totowa, NJ has an immediate opening for an Environmental Scientist.


 

Successful candidate for this position will be working on a variety of large and small-scale projects in both the private and public sector including some of the following tasks:



- Remedial investigations, pre-design investigations and remedial design.

- Site inspections and investigations.

- Development of work plans and report writing.

- Project management

- Daily interaction with clients, field crews, subcontractors, remediation contractors, insurance agents, homeowners and NYSDEC Spills Unit personnel(Melville opening).

Candidates, at a minimum, must possess the following skills:



- BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline

- 1-2 years experience with remediation of petroleum releases

- Knowledge of NYSDEC Spill's Unit requirements (Melville opening)

- Prior client relations experience a plus!

- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

- Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel

- Motivated self-starter!
