Epitaxial Technician

Essential Job Duties:
Operation of MBE reactor systems: loading/unloading wafers and basic operation on MBE control software.
Repair including troubleshooting, maintenance and recharge source materials
Epitaxial wafer characterization: photoluminescence, X-ray diffraction, electrochemical capacitance voltage, as well as morphology inspection.
Managing epitaxy related database, working on documentation, data entry and manipulation and statistical process control charting.
Interact with purchasing department and vendors on parts purchasing and services
Must be able to effectively use discretion and independent judgment with respect to MBE related research and projects.
Responsible for safety program in epitaxy area
Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Non Essential Duties:
Support activities on all aspects of MBE system operations and maintenance.
Testing on processed laser devices
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Qualifications:
High School diploma required, two years college education in an engineering field is desired. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in Epi environment with direct experience operating MBE reactors including loading and unloading wafers. Assisting with reactor maintenance and repairs, experience troubleshooting recharge source materials, data entry and monitoring of SPC charts. Must have experience with wafer characterization: PL, e-ray and CV measurements.
Candidate must be self-motivated, takes initiative and is accountable. Must have good communications skills and able to work in a team environment.
Must be available to work on flexible hours and overtime as needed.
