Fab 1 Process Integration Engineer (Imaging)

As a Fab 1 Process Integration Engineer at Micron, you will be responsible for process sustaining and maturation of CMOS imagers in Fab 1B. In this position you will write and analyze R&D, Fab experiments, and Fab SWRs; help scale up new parts to full production; and develop and run SWRs or short-loop experiments to identify yield problems or process improvements. You will also monitor process stability and yields through daily ongoing reviews of probe and param trends; identify sources of yield and reliability issues through extensive data analysis, which may include Fab, R&D, Probe, Param, Test, and QA information; and work extensively with product engineering to resolve test yields and performance issues, maintain baseline parts, and qual new reticles on baseline parts.


 


Other responsibilities include using data analysis techniques to evaluate process specs and ensure proper centering and adequate limits; working closely with Fab Engineering groups to aid in problem resolution or evaluation of new processes and techniques; using data analysis tools including JMP and Excel to analyze and present data; and attending key meetings to present correlations, results or summaries of yield issues, and process conversions. You will also perform some tracking, documentation, and analysis of Fab process conversions; understand parametric structures and data; and work in a time-sensitive environment.



 



Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years of experience with Fab processes and parametric data. You must have a good understanding of device physics including resistance, capacitance, diodes, VTs, and an understanding of the difference between nch and pch devices. You should also have a general understanding of the different Fab processes with a desire to learn them inside and out. It is also essential that you have excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and JMP) for documentation and analysis and some programming experience (UNIX is a plus).



Other desirable skills include strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills, good time management and judgment skills, and the ability to work any shift and necessary overtime. This position also requires that you be self-motivated with a good work ethic.


 


Required Education:


BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, Physics preferred.
