In addition to Wichita, the company has operations in Tulsa and McAlester, Oklahoma, and the United Kingdom. Spirit AeroSystems supplies commercial airplane assemblies and components, provides aftermarket support, and designs and fabricates tooling.

Job Description:Product Individual will be responsible for installation, administration and troubleshooting of data communications between factory-floor equipment and PC-based machine controllers using Windows and QNX operating systems in a large, multi-user, distributed network environment. Individual will work closely with Information Technology on the interface between the machine controllers and a large, distributed DNC network using either serial or IP-based protocols. Individual will be expected to apply knowledge of high-end serial and IP-based communications protocols, including the hardware architecture, software architecture, tools, and interfaces applicable to the specific products and services being provided. Individual will be expected to use applicable computing disciplines (e.g. change configuration, problem management, etc) to ensure that customer delivery systems requirements are met in a cost-effective manner that complies with company standards, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. Specific responsibilities will include hardware and system software problem resolution and performance analysis; driver and firmware upgrades; documentation and configuration/change management planning and execution; system and security administration; integration of new systems and peripherals.REQUIREMENTSSkills and Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in C++ Programming
Knowledge and experience with CNC machine controllers (e.g. Fanuc, Siemens, custom, etc.)
Knowledge and experience in the QNX Operating System, System Administration and security.
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Windows 2000/XP Operating Systems and security.
Knowledge and experience with Intel-based hardware systems and peripherals.
A working knowledge of computer networking definitions, processes and architectures, especially TCP/IP networking, NFS, NIS, and FTP.
Strong teaming, interpersonal, documentation, communication, and organizational/administrative skills.
Self motivated, customer focused, organized and reliable.

Education Requirements:
Prefer 4-year degree in computer science or related technical discipline and at least 4 years? experience with operating systems software, hardware, or networks
