Facilities Project Engineer
Drives implementation of large scale strategic initiatives having a significant impact on business by developing and improving products, processes or materials. Initiatives typically involve sizable capital programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
? Plans, conducts, leads and directs large, important projects.
? Understands the multiple business areas supported to determine specific business requirements.
? Conducts research and analytical studies to develop designs or specifications for products, equipment or processes.
? Directs and coordinates building of prototype of system.
? Plans and develops experimental test programs.
? Confers with manufacturing and other engineers to clarify and resolve problems; prepares design modifications, as appropriate.
? Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
? Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
? Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
? Prepares product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics.
? Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.
? Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets function and performance specifications.
? Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses.
? Acts as a liaison with other departments, divisions and organizations.
? Evaluates progress and results and recommends major changes in procedures.
? Develops recommendations to change systems, policies, and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation.
? Prepares project reports for management, clients or others.
? Sells new concepts to Senior Management on appropriate projects that significantly enhance existing capabilities and prepares capital expenditure requests for approval.
? May coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
? Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
? Identifies and obtains team capabilities needed to accomplish project objectives.
? Balances planning efforts with day to day demands.
? Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.
? If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
? Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads or directs others on a project or program basis. Mentors project team members and may assist with the review and evaluation of personnel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Engineering, plus 5-8 years of experience, Master's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
SKILLS
? Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
? Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
? Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
? Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
? Computer skill requirements include: basic MS Access; intermediate MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; advanced MS Project.
? Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
? Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
? Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
? Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
? Ability to work with all levels and functions within the Company.
? Must possesses and apply comprehensive knowledge in the area of specialization to the completion of significant assignments, operating with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
Additional Information
Responsibility / Knowledge / Skills
? Manages the planning, design and construction of new buildings, offices, remodels, warehouses and any other structure needed in a wine beverage manufacturing environment.
? Manager will need to work with various overhead and production related departments to define space needs.
? Based on space needs the Project Manager will lead a team to plan spaces or structures, develop construction drawings, develop cost estimates, budgets and schedules.
? Project Manager acquires approvals thru all phases of the stage gate process.
? Upon project approval Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction.
? Project Manager will manage all aspects of department relocations into newly developed areas or temporary areas.
Project Management Facilities
? Manages the planning, design and construction of all facility maintenance projects including; asphalt paving, HVAC, refrigeration, roofing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, etc. in a wine beverage manufacturing environment.
? Manages inspection, evaluation, maintenance, service, and repair of all facility related equipment, structures, and grounds including; asphalt paving, concrete, HVAC, refrigeration, roofing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, etc.
? Familiar with a variety of the field?s concepts, practices, and procedures.
? Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, leads and directs the work of others, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
? Will report to a Sr. Manager or Director of a unit/department.
Tools
? May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.
? Will use Trane Tracer Summit and Johnson Metasys controls, and programs to monitor HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
