Position Description:

Chevron North America Exploration and Production is accepting online applications for the positions of Facility, Automation and Electrical engineers, in various locations, including: Midland & Houston, TX; Calgary, Canada; Bakersfield, CA; Lafayette & New Orleans, LA; and St. Johns, Wyoming. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Chevron ranks as the largest producer of oil and gas on the Gulf of Mexico Shelf and in California. The company is the second-largest producer in the Mid-Continent's Permian Basin and third-largest natural gas producer in the U.S. It is active in exploration and production across North America, particularly in California, Texas, the Gulf of Mexico and Canada.

Facility, Automation and Electrical Engineering positions within Chevron are part of multi-disciplinary teams which vary in make-up but can include operations, petroleum engineering, earth science, and / or well engineering operations functions. Your responsibilities will be to provide Engineering and / or Project Management support for upstream oilfield development and existing operations.

If you join us, you could provide engineering design of oil and gas treating and de-hydration facilities, water or steam injection facilities, electrical and instrumentation systems, oil field development projects, or operation improvement projects. When working major capital projects, you will be responsible for implementation of Chevron's Project Development and Execution Process, a structured method to achieve optimum investment decisions, as well as for the work practices fundamental in achieving the efficient and successful delivery of projects.

As an engineer you will be responsible for leading, promoting, and applying Health, Environment and Safety behaviors using Safety in Design principles.

Qualifications:



A BS Engineering Degree is minimally required.

-Good working knowledge of typical engineering design (related to discipline) and office software. Understanding of estimating tools and cost control.
-Technical and Operational experience in Upstream or Downstream oil, gas and water treating and pumping and measurement systems. Understanding of Design, Construction, and Safety Codes and Regulations pertaining to Engineering discipline.
-Experience with Major Capital Project Management and Stewardship principles.
