Failure Analysis Technician

As a Failure Analysis Technician at Micron, you will be responsible for identifying causes of yield loss and using FIB tools to perform experimental circuit edits for all Micron products. In this position, you will use SEM and FIB to prepare and analyze samples; use FIB to prepare samples for TEM; determine the best method of sample preparation and best de-processing techniques; and prepare detailed project reports.



 





Qualified candidates must have an understanding of semiconductor device processing. Experience with SEM and FIB tools and cadence layout is a plus, but is not required. You should also understand basic DRAM and/or Flash memory function and architecture.


Other desirable competencies include strong communication skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, commitment to technical growth, excellent time and project management skills, and good problem solving skills. You must also have a strong work ethic and solid computer skills in NT (UNIX is preferred). This is a shift position that rotates from Day/Night every 4 months.


 


Education:
Candidates must be at least half way through an AA or AS degree in electronics or a semiconductor field, or have at least 5 years experience in Semiconductor Failure Analysis.
