ROLE

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high quality technical support and program management for a top tier customer and their ODM?s. They will be responsible for creating and driving product and test specifications for the end customer. In addition, they will be the focal point for addressing any technical enquiries and drive, to closure, any technical issues which arise during a customer?s development cycle. They will work closely with the other Factory and Field Applications Engineers to resolve technical issues and liase daily with the design, production, marketing and sales departments to provide first class customer support and program management as well as providing feedback on customer requirements to be included in future products.REPORTS TO

North American Applications DirectorMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

? Plan, drive and track customer developments within COMPANY and with customers ODM?s.

? Benchmarking, feasibility analysis, basic programming, and software and systems design of wireless systems.

? Writing and debugging embedded C source code.

? Assisting customers with software support during product development.

? Writing product and test specifications for customer end products.

? Developing direct customer relationship to provide recommendations and feedback on new features for COMPANY?s next generation Bluetooth chip.

? Recognizing new business opportunities for COMPANY products and building on established relationships with customers.

? Driving, to resolution, any technical issues encountered by the customer during their development process.

? Aiding in the development of collateral (eg application notes, reference designs, white papers). EXPERIENCE

? Experience in design, implementation and testing of wireless systems.

? Experience writing, debugging and testing embedded software.

? Excellent program management skills and experience in managing multi-region projects.

? Knowledge of wireless systems; Bluetooth, WLAN, GSM or CDMA.

? Knowledge of digital wireless standards.

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

? Willing to travel domestically and internationally and able to withstand a dynamic but high-pressure work environment.

? Able to effectively interface between customers and COMPANY?s organisation.

? Comfortable working on their own and remotely from a main organisation

? Highly motivated with good time management skills. QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in a relevant subject, with a good overall academic record at least five years relevant experience preferably in an applications role.
