Field Applications Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

 

Description: Promote Semtech products by design-in/ design-win at major accounts in Bay Area. Interface with clients to define product requirements and generate revenue through design wins.

 

Essential Duties: Responsible for increasing the design activity in the greater Bay Area. Responsible for revenue generation through design wins. Interface with clients to clearly define product requirements. Present technical solutions & actively assist the design group(s) of the client in developing the processes necessary to drive designs into production. Provide training on the Semtech product portfolio as required, for Sales Managers, Manufacturer Representatives & Distributors.



Qualification Requirements: BSEE required, MSEE preferred  Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of Analog / Mixed Signal technology. With a  minimum of 5 years experience working with Analog Power Management devices. Expertise in power management is required. Analog Power Design/ Application experience is required. Power Management system knowledge of Telecom infrastructure, Broadband, Portable and Industrial Power applications is also desired. Must have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work in and foster a teamwork environment. Demonstrated ability to articulate the value of the Semtech product line to the design engineering community. Must be an effective communicator and presenter, possessing a thorough command of the English language, both written and oral.
