Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer

 

Responsibilities:


*Provides remote and onsite support of explosive detection systems (EDS) installed in airports

  across the United States. 

*Troubleshoot, diagnose, debug and repair complex EDS systems

*Serves as a technical equipment expert by providing telephone support to third-party maintenance 

  vendors.

*Manages on-site support and performs major preventive maintenance functions as needed.

*Coordinates and assists in the installation and site acceptance of new machines.

*Assists with testing modifications and new versions of the unit along with updating the field organization

of changes as they occur. 

 

Qualifications

 

*Previous experience with computed tomography (CT) and x-ray equipment preferred

*Excellent ability to communicate and interface professionally and effectively with customers and third-

  party vendors.

*Ability to work with minimal supervision

*Minimum 3 years previous experience serving as a Field Service Tech or Engineer

*Must be available to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays

*Knowledge of xray and electrical systems helpful

*Must be available to travel extensively on short notice

*Results-oriented, team player with a can-do attitude
