  Field Support Engineer

 

The job -

Job Description:Ability to successfully adapt to challenging situations and effectively transition any environment to a positive outcomePlan, coordinate, install and document field installations at clinical sitesProvide on-site post installation, and "Help Desk" support for customersDevelop database to track site/system service support status, release level, configuration status, etc.Coordinate field activities such as service contract renewal, repairs or exchangesWork with cross functional teams including Engineering, Portfolio Management, Operations, Production and Sales/MarketingProvide installation and support for all trade shows in which the company may participateParticipate in the development and validation of all future and existing products and servicesStay current on technology & clinical needs through formal training, trade shows, clinical site visits, etc.

Qualifications-BS in Engineering or Computer Science4 years' related experience in Medical Imaging, IT/IS, networks, etc.4 years' clinical equipment field service experience preferredSensitivity to patients and clinical personnel in a clinical environmentFlexibility: valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally 40%-60% of the time Strong ability to read, analyze, interpret common scientific and technical journals, business periodicals and regulatory regulationsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsGeneral understanding of FDA and ISO regulatory and compliance standardsSolid technical aptitude including knowledge of computers, DICOM, PACS and video imaging equipment Outstanding customer service skills
