Field Support and Training Engineer

Need one person for ~3 weeks training work in Kabul, beginning approx November 1. Need a second person to also perform the ~3 weeks training work in Kabul, then remain for a six month assignment, with a possible extension of an additional six months.

 



Nature of Tasks:Customer training and technical support of PACSTAR 5500 & 200X product family

Compen-sation Range:

Dependent upon experience and qualifications.  Will include salary, benefits, and foreign service premium.

Location of Work:Initial training at Headquarters located in Portland, OR, followed by assignment in Kabul, Afghanistan

Requirements:

Must sign confidentiality agreement, assignment of inventions, and non-compete agreement

 



Primary Responsibilities

1.  Deliver training

a.  Deliver technical training on PacStar products to US and Afghan military personnel

b.  Deliver training in basic networking concepts to Afghan military personnel

c.  Serve as technical resource to Afghan military personnel for networking issues

2.  Provide technical support to client

a.  Respond to customer technical support needs for PACSTAR 5500 and 200x family of products

b.  Serve as PacStar technical representative to the client in Kabul, Afghanistan

c.  Communicate with PacStar Engineering Support at PacStar Headquarters as needed to resolve issues

3.  Provide regular reporting to PacStar Headquarters

4.  Collaborate with sales team

a.  Analyze customer requirements related to design, development and implementation of new networking/wireless/security requirements

b.  Identify upsell opportunities based on technical requirements

c.  Identify service opportunities based on technical requirements

d.  Provide technical input into the development of PacStar sales proposals

5.  Provide technical customer feedback to company and product development

a.  Identify new product opportunities and customer requests

b.  Communicate customer feedback on products back to PacStar team
