Field Technicians: Soils, Concrete & Asphalt

We are currently looking to fill 7 positions:

Responsibilities


?Provide WAQTC Inspections for soils, concrete and asphalt
?Field sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete and asphaltic concrete materials associated with heavy civil and commercial construction projects.
?Maintain ICBO and/or WAQTC Certification
?Capable of reading, understanding and interpreting technical drawings
?Use specialized equipment and apparatus to prepare analysis, reports and/or technical drawings
?Calculations of test results
?Preparation of written reports
?Manager/Client liaison concerning project status/testing results


Knowledge / Experience

We will pay a $500 signing bonus for individuals who have WAQTC embankment or ACI level certification. Bonus will be payable after 120 days of employment.

?Minimum of ICBO and WAQTC certifications for soils, asphalt and concrete
?Minimum 2 years experience
?Good communication skills
?Working knowledge of AASHTO and ASTM Standards and codes
?Proven background working on heavy civil/highway projects
?Team oriented player
?Must be able to travel
?Ability to work independently
?Must have acceptable handwriting and the ability to write technical field reports for daily distribution
?Capable of operating computer systems and peripheral equipment
?Capable of lifting and carrying a maximum of 100 lbs
?Valid driver?s license, vehicle and insurability
?Ability to read, write and speak English well
?Ability to perform mathematical calculations using material dimensions such as cubic yard and square feet
?Willingness to learn new skills
?Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with others
