Fire Sprinkler Design Intern

Our continued success and growth has produced a need for Fire Sprinkler Design Intern position in our Sacramento, CA location.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the preparation of construction systems submittal drawings, under supervision, to support Building Systems Operations.  Duties include, but are not limited to: preparation of highly complex mechanical sprinkler systems drawings such as conceptual presentation drawings, floor plan layouts, complete sprinkler system drawings (including but not limited to wet, dry, pre-action, special hazard, standpipe, and fire pump systems), installation shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, operations, matrixes & technical charts, & record drawings; preparation of project drawings & material/equipment submittal packages, stocklisting and materials purchasing, project costs tracking; perform other system configurations/calculations in accordance with project specifications & other project documentation.

 

Basic Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Computer fluency in AutoCad and Microsoft Office programs & spreadsheets

Proficient in reading and understanding Architectural, Electrical layouts & diagrams

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in office and meeting settings

Must be able to use computer keyboard and focus attention to PC monitor for prolonged periods of time

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
