Firmware Engineer - Staff
The individual in this role will be responsible for firmware development for products involving embedded microprocessors. In a typical project, this person would be expected to participate in project planning and resource allocation, in addition to having responsibility for firmware development and technical leadership.
***And other duties as assigned or needed.***
Experience and Skills:
Candidate should have at least a BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 10 years or more of experience in the development of embedded firmware.Strong communication skills are a necessity, along with the ability to serve as a mentor for more junior members of the development team.Experience in C development is required.Working knowledge of C++ and Assembly language would be beneficial, as would exposure to Linux or other RTOS?s, PowerPCs, and 8051-family processors.Background in video processing, USB, PS/2, keyboard, and/or mouse operation would be a plus.
