Flow Technology Mechanical Engineer

CITY: Billerica STATE: Massachusetts COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Design of enclosures and packaging for electromechanical components.
* Design of sensor/transducer housings and mounting mechanisms.
* Design of mechanical fixturing and assemblies.
* Preparation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
* Preparation of fabrication drawings (Detail Engineering)
* Coordination with vendors/clients to resolve technical issues.
* Review of existing products to optimize design and manufacturability.
* Work to resolve sustaining engineering issues.
* Project work may include the design of the following:
- Pressure Vessels/Flowcell Bodies.
- Pressure Retaining Components.
- Sensors/Transducers Housings.
- Mechanical Assemblies/Mechanisms/Fixtures.
- Welded joints.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum 3 years professional experience in Mechanical Design.
* Proficiency using SolidWorks and AutoCad Software required.
* Experience with modeling software Ansys, FEA, FEM.
* Basic knowledge/understanding of common fabrication methods including Welding, Machining, NDE Testing.
* Working knowledge with MS office SW, Word, Excel and Power Point.

Desired:
* Working knowledge of ASME Piping/Pressure Vessel/Welding Codes.
* Basic knowledge of Acoustics and/or instrumentation.
* Basic knowledge of piping and related components.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills.
* Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
* Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
* Design for Six Sigma Certified.
