GIS Specialist (BIM Specialist)

Michael Baker Jr. Inc., a top 40 ENR Design Firm, is currently seeking a GIS Specialist (BIM Specialist) for their Moon Township (close to Pittsburgh), PA location.

Qualifications include a four year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Planning or related field and 3-5 years related experience.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to lead the growth and integration of Building Information Model (BIM) technology into our Planning business. The qualified candidate must have working knowledge of one or more BIM products, have a vision for how BIMs can be used for property and asset management specifically, and how BIM technology can be applied to Facilities Management, Space Planning and Master Planning. Candidate must be solution-oriented, versus a software expert, using Software to support improved solutions for customers.

The qualified candidate must have a solid grasp and knowledge of BIM software from Autodesk, Bentley and Graphisoft, the desire to learn and apply new technologies, an understanding of national CAD standards, and be familiar with the International Alliance for Interoperability (IAI). Candidate should have sufficient facilities experience to understand and apply the interests of architects, engineers, planners, and facility managers in their use of BIMs. Candidate must also be motivated and able to develop and grow the business and integration of BIM into an existing architect-engineer­planning business.

The qualified candidate must have excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
