Project Engineer & Highway Designer Position

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Project Engineer & Highway Designer to join our team a PE is desirable.  The ideal candidate will be team-oriented with a high intensity and strong interpersonal skills that is well organized, and is focused on adding value to the company.

 

Salary to commensurate with experience

 

Responsibilities:

? Under the direction and guidance of a Professionally Registered Civil Engineer, performs moderate to complex engineering calculations, analysis, and designs in the support of the development of engineering projects,

? Plans, develops, coordinates, schedules, and directs assigned portions of engineering project(s), to be consistent with established scope of work, client expectations, and project budget,

? If assigned as the designated Project Engineer on a project, the individual will be responsible for the implementation of the Project Managers technical plan on all project tasks,

? Responsible for the economical development of plans, specifications, cost estimates, studies and other tasks required for the completion of assigned portions of engineering projects,

? Participates in technical presentations to (and for) clients as required,

? Provides technical support to assigned project team(s), such as organizing, manipulating and compiling data, drafting project correspondence, writing technical reports, performing research, checking engineering calculations, reviewing drawings for quality control and assurance, performing cost estimates, note taking and the development of meeting minutes, etc.,

? Under the direction and guidance of a Professionally Registered Civil Engineer, responsible for Construction Administration and Inspection duties when required within a project scope of work,

? Performs assigned project tasks expeditiously and within budgeted timeframe,

? Always represents B&E Jackson with a professional personal appearance and demeanor (well groomed appearance and business apparel where appropriate),

? Perform other duties as requested by a Project Manager or Department Manager.

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

? B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering

? Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) Certification required

? One to four years experience in the field of Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Transportation

? Strong verbal, and written communication skills

? Proficient in the utilization of MicroStation is preferred, AutoCad, CAiCE or Geopak desirable
