Gas Turbine MK V Controls Training

GSII as part of GE requires a number of new MK V Turbine Control Field Engineers to provide on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants. Our training provides the technical skills for the engineer to operate confidently and independently for GSII. Training is conducted at the GE Power Systems University Training and Development Centre in Schenectady, NY. After the formal classroom training, on the job training will commence depending on the specific individuals knowledge and experience.

Job assignments can be either domestic or international, providing turbine related services (installation, maintenance or retrofit) to utility, industrial, transportation, government and commercial customers. This is a results oriented position. The job will involve extensive travel and shift work.

 

Requirements:

This position requires: Gas Turbine engineering experience and a reasonable knowledge of Gas Turbine control systems, strong interpersonal skills, technical competence, leadership ability, computer skills and willingness to travel are necessary to become a capable field engineer. Successful completion of the training program is a minimum requirement. You will be paid during the whole of your training and contract period.

 

Contract Details:

? Competitive salary/hourly rate ? billable-hour yearly requirement with a guaranteed base salary. Hourly rate applies only for hours worked in excess of contracted hours.

. Contracts will be 1500 hour year long contracts. Time worked in excess of 1500 hours will attract an overtime rate.

? No relocation is required or offered. You may continue to reside where you live as long as you live near an airport with jet service.

? While on-site, living costs are covered by either per diem or expensed receipts depending on the job.
