General Manager (EVS)- Large Healthcare System - Harrisburg, PA

As the General Manager for Environmental Services, you will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department and the patient transportation department in the Pinnacle Health System which is made up of 4 major healthcare sites and several smaller sites located in the central PA area specifically Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg.



 

You will be responsible for the overall management of all sites in this healthcare system including budget management, safety and sanitation, staffing, scheduling, training and developing a large management and hourly staff. Coordinating customer service programs and daily interaction with the client. Developing new programs to enhance the ARAMARK program at the hospital. Maintaining existing training initiatives related to the housekeeping department is essential to this position.









Ideal candidates will possess the following a bachelor's degree (and or requisite industry and management experience) plus 5 to 10 years experience in the EVS field. Previous experience managing a large management staff in a healthcare  environment is required. A working knowledge of rooms management and safety/sanitation  standards as required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Health, JCAHO and OSHA.

Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Computer skills required.  The ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not required.
