Qualified candidate will have a four year college degree in geology or hydrogeology (master?s degree preferred) and five to ten years of experience.? Registration as a professional geologist (PG) in the state of Florida is required.? Applicant should be self-motivated, a strong communicator, team oriented, and knowledgeable of water resources, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects.? Must be experienced in petroleum, RCRA and CERCLA programs, and be familiar with the relevant Florida laws and regulations.? Working knowledge of MicroSoft Office?, and related technical computer programs is necessary.? Experience on using numerical computer models is a plus.?

Successful candidate will perform and direct others in executing subsurface?investigations; environmental site assessments (Phase I and II); petroleum and hazardous waste site investigation and monitoring; soil, water resources, and aquifer studies; well design and installation; and field sampling.? Assists in?assessment and corrective action plans, evaluations, studies, and construction related services for environmentally related projects such as dry-cleaning, hazardous waste, petroleum, and brownfield programs.? Assists the project manager in?the preparation of cost estimates and presenting proposals to clients.??Provides direction, answers questions and monitors progress of field staff.? Provides technical guidance and checks accuracy of completed work.? Coordinates efforts with regulatory agencies when needed and is responsible for the preparation of any permit applications and other applicable reports.??
