Geologist or Environmental Scientist

Conduct all aspects of subsurface investigation of contaminated sites, including permitting, drilling, sampling, assisting project managers in preparation of work plans and reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
Prepare quarterly monitoring reports.
Submit and supervise electronic data format (EDF) files (Geotracker).
Prepare work plans and reports for site investigations and remediation.
Correspond with regulatory technical agencies.
Construct, develop, and sample monitor wells.
Oversee drilling operations (direct push, auger, air-rotary, etc.).
Log geological boreholes and sample soil.
Schedule and coordinate selected tasks for site investigation remediation activities.
Communicate (limited) with client and regulatory agencies.
Schedule and arrange site clearance of drilling activities.
Prepare project deliverables (work plans, correspondence, reports, etc.) under supervision of project manager
Prepare site maps, groundwater contour maps, groundwater gradient maps, geologic cross-sections, iso-concentration contour maps, etc.),
Calculate gradients, soil volumes, mass-balance, air volumes, etc
Conduct data review and compilation (spreadsheet tables, word processing tables, graphs, etc.)
Qualifications
Two to five years experience in environmental site investigation and remediation (soil and groundwater) desired
Knowledge of investigation and remediation of sites impacted by petroleum Products and other hazardous materials.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Valid driver s license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Bachelor s degree in geology, earth sciences, or closely related discipline
