Global Director of Process Excellence for EHS

JOB DESCRIPTION: Leading chemical company in need of a Global Director of Process Excellence to perform Lean / Sigma duties within the EH&S Department. Not wanting candidates from EH&S background, desiring Lean / Sigma individuals with some transactional experience in the EH&S arena. Responsibilities will be as follows.
Define, standardize and optimize work processes with the global EH&S organization, including corporate and site EH&S staff.
Lead projects to improve overall company EH&S performance, ensure business process integration of key EH&S impacted programs, ensure enterprise wide programs and initiate to improve staff efficiency and effectiveness.
Utilize appropriate Lean and Six Sigma tools to standardize processes.
Lead projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of global EH&S compliance and risk management actions.
Conduct training to advance the level of process improvement capabilities of corporate and facility EH&S professionals.
Mentor / train Green Belts.
Lead the EH&S Process Excellence Network.
Achieve targeted improvement in Functional KPI?s, number of completed projects.
Support development of tools / processes to streamline the collection and evaluation / trending of KPI data.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Engineering or related degree.
Continuous Improvement background with some EH&S experience.
5 + years experience in Continuous Improvement.
Lean Methodology and/or Six Sigma certification a must.
Strong knowledge of Safety.
Experience in chemical manufacturing environment a major plus.
