Decision Support Research Analyst - Operations - Mountain View

This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

We are looking for a self motivated individual to apply advanced analytical and modeling techniques to help make better decisions and to solve problems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing analytic models to either make business-relevant conclusions, or to invent algorithms for Google products or internal tools. This person will deal with diverse issues such as planning, sourcing, forecasting, resource allocation, inventory management, performance measurement, scheduling, pricing, and ad-hoc cost benefit analysis.

Requirements:PhD or MS in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Statistics.
2+ years experience in a supply chain management role at a manufacturing, consulting, or software development organization.
Familiar with forecasting, manufacturing planning, logistics, etc.
Experience with ERP system or planning software such as I2 and Manugistics is a plus, but not required.
Experience in developing tools that utilize optimization techniques to solve planning, scheduling, and allocation problems.
Ability to build models and solve them using LP/IP, constrained programming, or other optimization heuristics.
Ability to perform data cleaning/validation and a wide range of statistical analyses (time series, regression, Markov chain models, hypothesis testing, multivariate analysis, etc).
Ability to use relational databases, pivot tables, Visual Basics, and internal tools to extract reports, perform data analysis.
Proven ability to develop complex analytical models and use statistical and optimization packages e.g. SPSS, R, SAS, Matlab, AMPL, ILOG, etc.For immediate consideration, please apply HERE.
