Manufacturing Engineer, Printed Circuit Board and Assembly - Mountain View

This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

The successful candidate will play a lead role in the following:
Identifying and qualifying PCB, PCA and box build vendors.
Coordinating the interactions between Google engineering, purchasing, test engineering, other internal functional groups and outside vendors.
Resolving manufacturing problems by applying knowledge and skills, escalating design, manufacturing, and product test issues to other people within the organization when appropriate.
Focusing on process improvement which shall result in reducing process cycle time, increasing quality and reducing cost.
Performing Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Cost (DFC), and process optimization for quality and productivity improvement.
Communicating design and material changes to the contract manufacturers, purchasing and planning.
Managing and maintaining the AVL, BOMs and ECNs in Google's system.
Creating assembly instructions.
Requirements:
A BS degree in EE, Computer Engineering or Industrial Technology.
Recent expertise in PCB fabrication and assembly, and box build processes.
Good understanding in PCB layout and DFT.
Knowledge in quality and statistical process control.
Experience working with contract manufacturing and ODM vendors.
Experience with product lifecycle management systems.
Outstanding skills in customer service and verbal and written communications.
