HUGHES is looking for a HARDWARE ENGINEER - MTS 3 to add to our dynamic team!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform design and development of engineering assignments related to hardware products and systems including the designing of subsystems and/or equipment. Duties may include research, development and evaluation of new processes and method into products. May be responsible for establishing and conducting testing routines or developing project plans. Participate in design reviews. Document work and results.

QUALIFICATION/SKILLS:

Solid background in signal processing algorithms development, extensive experience in MATLAB/SIMULINK/C/C++ modeling and simulation, knowledge of multiple access mechanisms such as CDMA, TDMA and OFDMA. Familiarity with terrestrial wireless technologies such as 3G and WiMax, as well as familiarity with beam forming methods is a strong plus.

Position requires a MS degree and 6-8 years of experience, or PhD degree. Strong skills in adaptive signal processing.

Some positions may require the qualified candidate to have clearance for state and commerce licenses for export control purposes. EOE
