HVAC Engineer I

IPS has an immediate opening for an HVAC Engineer I in our Morrisville, NC office.

 

Duties include:

 Assists in planning, designing and directing engineering projects within the business unit.  These assignments contain specific tasks on project teams. Prepares design computations and quantity estimates and develops probable construction cost estimates for the smaller, less complex projects. Makes calculations using engineering formulas and skills for design such as heating and cooling loads, and equipment sizing. Provides drawing for own designs and produces sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters. Modifies reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies and designs for project.

 

Candidate qualifications include:

 Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 2 years engineering experience required, prior experience in pharmaceutical design preferred. Experience in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer aided drafting General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in specific discipline related area (Mechanical HVAC Systems and Facility Design. Engineer-in-Training strongly preferred Able to interact effectively with customers, suppliers and team members required
