HVAC Training Instructor

Location: Position would be considered to be a (`cfield position (`d. Candidate would provide the workspace and office furniture. Office equipment would be provided by ICP, including computer and Internet connections. Candidate would perform all administrative duties from home office.

Travel: Travel to various distributors and meeting locations across the United States and Canada to perform class functions. Most classes are 8 hours in length including lunch and breaks. Candidate would need to be at all classes ?d hour early. 50% of the time, same day travel would be required to a new location after class as classes are generally booked on consecutive days when travel can be accomplished. Sunday travel to locations for Monday classes would be required 5-10 times annually and Saturday travel would occur at the same frequency. Candidate would spend 70-75% of time traveling or conducting classes.

Core Duties: Preparing and delivering HVAC specific technical and sales information to the distributors and dealers of our products in a classroom setting. Information must be presented in a manner that maximizes adult learning and retention. Candidate will be leading training sessions with groups of 10-200 students. Most students will have paid tuition to attend the course, and expectations will be high. Candidate must meet expectations.

Other Duties: 25-30% of time. Other support duties required, but not limited to:

?r1All details of class support including calling distributors for class information, shipping requests for class materials, completion of class paper work, making travel arrangements, and travel expense reports.

?r1Preparation and maintenance of all class materials including power point presentations, all audiovisuals and student handbooks. Preparation, design and production of web courses. Candidate will aid in the completion of course offerings and design.

?r1Candidate will be responsible for keeping themselves abreast of company and market changes. Continuing education and training will be planned and managed by candidate.

?r1Direct mail and telemarketing our products for the purpose of selling bookings to our customers.

?r1Working closely with Distributor contacts to insure the best class possible for their customers.


Minimum 2-year associate degree or equivalent Trade School Degree in the area of HVAC Installation or Repair.

5 years hands on experience in HVAC installation or repair. (Required)

5 years adult training experience in a classroom setting. (Preferred)

Computer Literacy with proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe and Internet Explorer.
Certifications:

EPA Certification (required)
NATE Certification in at least one HVAC area (preferred)
ACCA Instructor Certification (preferred)
EPIC Certification (preferred)




Presentation skills as related to adult learning.
Self starter
Self motivated
Ability to be productive without direct supervision.
Interpersonal skills.
Bi-lingual: English & Spanish (highly preferred)
Candidate must successfully complete and pass a Company administered test pertaining to General HVAC Knowledge.
