COMPANY

AgaMatrix is a consumer medical device company that develops and manufactures blood glucose monitoring (BGM) products for the diabetes market.  Products are based on the company's proprietary WaveSense? biosensor platform, which consists of a suite of patent-pending test strip, dynamic electrochemistry, digital signal processing, and lancing technologies.  First revenue will be achieved in 2006, and a steep growth path to the $100M sales level by 2009 is expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for design and development WaveSense? biosensor platform hardware, including design of digital and analog electronics for RF communication, signal acquisition and conditioning. You will work with firmware, electrical hardware and design assurance engineers. You will engage in all elements of the product development and life cycle, including:

? Concept design and translation of system requirements

? Detailed design and analysis.

? Prototype and design verification

? Design reviews and documentation

? Design robustness and reliability growth demonstration

? Design for Manufacturability and Serviceability, and

? Customer clinical use

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: (listed in decreasing importance)

?  Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering.

?  Must have solid knowledge of RF, analog electronics, wireless communication.

? 3-7 years experience in designing RF and analog circuit in a mixed-signal board

?  2 pus years in design digital circuit in a mixed-signal board

?  Must be very detail-oriented and have a ?do-whatever-it-takes? attitude to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

?  Independent, proactive, and excited to work in a small, very fast-pace environment.

Preferred: (listed in decreasing importance)

?  MSEE.

?  Solid knowledge of low-level implementation of high reliability wireless communication protocols

?  Experience in working in medical device company that employ wireless communication
