Heavy Duty Diesel Engineer

Summary:

This position is responsible for developing and applying emission control technology to diesel powered equipment in order to meet commercial requirements. This position is also responsible for providing customer support with warranty claim, troubleshooting, installation support and training.    JOB DESCRIPTION: The incumbent shall support the heavy duty diesel business by providing engineering support in the development and application of diesel emission control systems for retrofit and OE fit. This support includes the laboratory and field testing of prototype emission control products as well as providing the technical support necessary to certify and commercialize the product. The incumbent will support regular commercial business by providing sizing and installation requirements in response to customer requests. The incumbent will also provide after-the-sale customer support by training customers and distributors, troubleshooting customer problems and monitoring equipment in the field. REQUIREMENTS: BS or MS in Chemical or Mechanical engineering with 0-5 years of related work experience.Knowledge/work experience with diesel engines.Knowledge in catalytic emission control.Knowledge in basic electrical and controls.Computer Skills such as MS Office, Project, data logging, etc.Computer Skills such as MS Office, Project, data logging, etc.Good oral and written skills, the ability to work in a team environment.This position requires travel ? Up to 50% of the work year could be spent away from the office.
