High Performance Process Engineering Program
Job Description: MISSION STATEMENT: Develop and/or acquire skills and resources that will allow CONSTAR to achieve "World Class Performance" in PET Processing.
ORIENTATION: Upon hire, orientation will include several weeks of training at our Corporate Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, our Research & Development Center in Alsip, IL and a manufacturing location.
OBJECTIVES: ► Attain expertise in Polymer Science with specialization in PET Injection Processing (theoretical, analytical, electrical and mechanical), and Blow Processing (theoretical, analytical, electrical and mechanical)► Develop Processing expertise► Provide a communication network to effectively transfer knowledge and improvements
REQUIREMENTS: ► Willingness to relocate and travel extensively► Engineering Degree or Technical/Science Degree is required► "Hands-on" mechanical aptitude► Systematic and methodical approach to problem solving► Team Player with strong interpersonal and communication skills► Organization and strong technical writing skills a must
POSITION SCOPE: ► Process trouble shooting at manufacturing locations► Process standardization and DOE► New technology evaluation, Technical training & Project management► Participation & Leadership of Employee Involvement Teams► Development of cost reductions and product improvements► Lead vendor partnerships
DEVELOPMENT PLAN (based on performance): ► 1-12 months = orientation, safety/team building training, OJT with Process Engineer► 1-5 years = Field Process Engineer, Project Engineer or R& D Engineer► 5-10 years = Advance through Operations Management and/or Engineering Management► 10+ years = Operations Manager and/or Engineering Manager► Future = Corporate Engineering and/or Operations Management
