This position provides an exciting opportunity to apply your skills, learn new skills, and incorporate ergonomics into future vehicle designs.  You will work with all aspects of interior and exterior vehicle development and design.


Position duties include, but are not limited to:

? Single point of contact for specified vehicle design team(s). You will be responsible for the ergonomics of future vehicle designs.

? Assist in developing program ergonomics targets/objectives, assumptions, and new vehicle features by identifying ergonomics' needs and wants through the use of detailed benchmarking and the application of ergonomic standards and principles.

? Drive resolution of ergonomic issues by leading cross-functional teams.

? Contribute to the development of new Ergonomics processes, guidelines, standards and cross-vehicle recommendations.

? Help design vehicle controls and displays.

? Present ergonomics issues and solutions to the Ford management teams.

? Design, conduct, analyze and report on studies to resolve issues and expand the knowledge of Ford Human Factors and Ergonomics. Studies may utilize state-of ?the-art tools, simulators, and laboratory equipment.

 

This position is part of the Ergonomics Department, which is located at the Ford Research and Engineering Center in Dearborn, Michigan. 

 

Requirements include but not limited to:

? Requirements: BS degree specializing in Human Factors/Ergonomics is required. Prefer MS or BS with experience. 

? Knowledge of CATIA v5 is desired, but not mandatory.

? Ideal applicant is autonomous, results-driven and proactive in identifying and helping to resolve issues.  Candidate should possess great people skills and should enjoy working in a team environment.
